Travel Credit Card

The purpose of the university travel card is to finance official university travel.

Employees whose duties require that they travel on official business may be issued a university travel car at no personal cost. This card is to be used only for charging university related travel expenses such as lodging, rental car and other related travel expenses.

Before applying for a university travel card employees must review the Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual, Section 7.0 pages 352-387.

Applying:
Applications for corporate charge chards must be submitted on a university travel card application. The dean, in academic units, or vice present or assistant vice president, in the non-academic units, must approve the form.

Liability for Charges and Cardholder Responsibilities
Each cardholder is solely liable for prompt payment of all charges (including cash advances) directly to U.S. Bank Visa Card. The university has designated the 25th of each month as the approximate cut off date for each monthly billing cycle with full payment of the total balance due within 30 days.

Travelers will be reimbursed for authorized university travel expenses and associated fees in accordance with the Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual (section 7.1). These reimbursements will be made to the university travel, not to U.S. Bank Visa Card.

Lost or Stolen Cards
If a university travel card is lost or stolen, it is the cardholder’s responsibility to notify U.S. Bank immediately at 1-800-344-5696. U.S. Bank can provide a replacement card within 24 hours.

Return Cards
Card privileges are revoked upon termination of employment with the university. Prior to the last day of work charge cards are to be cut in half and submitted to Business Operations by the cardholder.

Balance must be paid in full at the end of the period. No card may carry a balance.
